Acerbis-Helmet

If you’re looking for a well-priced super-light fibreglass helmet, get down to your local dealer and check out the new Acerbis Impact helmet. It’s the lightest Australian Standards-approved helmet Acerbis has released in Australia to date. I weighed the size large Impact helmet I’ve been testing on my scales at home and it weighed in at a feather-light 1296gms. The helmet has 10 air vent ports throughout, which keeps your melon nice and cool when you’re cutting laps with your mates or struggling up a snotty hill deep in the mulga. Although the helmet liner is anti-bacterial-treated, I like to wash my liners after each sweaty ride. I’ve had Acerbis helmets before and I can vouch for the durability of the liners. There is also no need to stress if man’s best friend gets into your gear bag and chews up your liner as they can be bought separately for a reasonable $69.65. If lost, the visor screws can also be bought separately for $14.95. In my opinion the helmet, which is available in seven cool colourways, looks great and the comfort is first class. The weight and look of the helmet certainly give some of the other brands at three times the cost a run for their money. So it’s two thumbs up here for the new Acerbis Impact helmet. Greg Masters
