The Husqvarna team will take on a new appearance this year including upgraded machinery, Acerbis riding gear and a few new faces around camp. Team boss Glenn Kearney will make the move back to the E1 category while Lachy Stanford will step up to E3.

“We have the same core team as last year with Lachy Stanford and myself, but Lachy will step up to the FE501 and I’ll step down in capacity to the FE250,” Kearney said.

We want to get somebody back into E1, and I always thought Lachy was a better big bike rider anyway. After his performance at the six-day, I pretty much decided over there, that it was time to start riding the bike and he agreed. My biggest issue for the last year has been my rear braking imitations with my ankle, and the size and weight of the 250 has meant that it’s easier to pull up into corners, which is helping.”

A number of Husqvarna support riders are expected to step up to the plate this year including young hopeful Fraser Higlett.

“The young gun Fraser Higlett is going to be up in Under 19, and he’s going to be the real standout I think. He’s already showed how fast he’s going against the big guns up in Queensland a fortnight ago,” Kearney continued.

Broc Grabham and Lyndon Snodgrass will make their mark In the E2 category aboard the FE450 and FE350 respectively. Mitch Harper will continue with the team as a key hard enduro rider having finished in third place at the recent Wildwood Extreme Enduro.

This weekend will provide a great test for the entire Husqvarna team as they take on the manmade Enduro-X course. The ability to entertain and showcase their talents in front of a huge audience will also be a major drawcard for the riders.
