With a crowd of more than 15,000 people Brayton rose to the occasion claiming the crown for the third time in his career with previous victories in 2009 and 2012. The American held off strong challenges from compatriots Cooper Webb and Broc Tickle in the opening moto to start his night in the best possible fashion.

A second all American podium occurred in the next moto however Brayton was absent, with Copper Webb claiming top spot ahead of Justin Bogle and Tickle.

Two consistent races for Cooper Webb were enough to secure the SX class win, however the main event of the night was still to follow. A 20 lap King of Genova race was the spectacle of the evening and it was Brayton who claimed the throne.

Gaining the early race lead Brayton was challenged by CLS Kawasaki rider Dylan Ferrandis, before a crash left the rider out of contention and gave Brayton some breathing space.

Back in the pack class winner Webb was making a move through the field coming from fourth to second place. As we looked set for an intense battle, Webb suffered a similar fate to Ferrandis, crashing out of the race and giving up his chances of the title.

As the chequered flag waved Brayton took the crown six seconds ahead of Frenchman Cedric Soubeyras and Construct Yamaha rider Valentin Guillod in third.
