Ken Roczen and Cole Davies continue to dominate the 2026 AUSX Supercross Championship, sweeping the SX1 and SX2 classes respectively at a packed GMHBA Stadium, as more than 20,000 fans turn out for the first-ever Geelong AUSX Open.
The Ken Roczen and Cole Davies show rolled into Geelong for Round 3 of the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, presented by Monster Energy, and the international stars once again proved a class above the competition.

With more than 20,000 fans packing into GMHBA Stadium for the first Geelong staging of the AUSX Open in its 11-year history, the atmosphere was electric. And with current Monster Energy Supercross 450SX Champion Roczen and 250SX East title-holder Davies headlining the international line-up, expectations were high.
They didn’t disappoint.
Roczen (Pipes Motorsports Group) delivered another commanding performance in SX1, winning all three finals to take the overall victory, while young Kiwi sensation Davies (Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing) was equally impressive in SX2, completing a clean sweep of his own.
The event also attracted plenty of international firepower, with American stars Justin Barcia and Jo Shimoda joining the line-up, adding another level of depth to an already stacked field.

SX1 – Roczen does it again
While Christian Craig (Quad Lock Honda) initially set the pace in qualifying, topping the SX1 timesheets with a 57.114-second lap, Roczen was hot on his heels, just 0.130 seconds behind. Barcia (Pipes Motorsports Group) was third fastest, with Jed Beaton (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) leading the Australian charge in fourth.
Craig and Roczen continued their battle in the heat races, taking a win apiece, but Roczen struck the first significant blow in Superpole. The German edged Craig to claim the top spot and secure first choice of gate for the finals.
Roczen, however, owned the night, putting together three polished performances when it mattered most. After taking victories in Finals 1 and 2, he backed it up in the final outing with another dominant ride, eventually crossing the line 13.272 seconds clear of the field.
Craig was the most consistent challenger, recording three second-place finishes to secure second overall, while Shimoda (Honda) quietly put together a solid night with three fourths to claim the final podium spot.

Barcia, meanwhile, added plenty of interest to the international line-up, but Roczen once again showed why he’s one of the most formidable supercross riders in the world.
Despite missing the top step in Geelong, Craig continues to lead the SX1 championship with 182 points. Roczen moves into second on 150, just three points ahead of Australian Luke Clout, who sits third on 147.
SX2 – Davies remains untouchable
If Roczen was impressive in SX1, Davies was every bit as convincing in the smaller capacity class.
The young New Zealander was the standout from the moment the track action began, claiming SX2 pole position with a 58.976-second lap, ahead of MXRP Yamaha’s Max Anstie and Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha’s Lux Turner.

Davies carried that speed into the night program, winning his heat before producing a flawless performance across all three finals. While the racing behind him was anything but straightforward, Davies made it look relatively easy out front, taking three convincing wins to complete a perfect night.
Turner was the next best, putting together a consistent 2-2-3 scorecard to secure second overall, while Cameron McAdoo (Quad Lock Honda) rounded out the podium in third.

Despite Davies’ Geelong clean sweep, the SX2 championship remains incredibly tight. McAdoo continues to hold the lead with 152 points, just two ahead of Davies on 150, while Turner sits third with 138.
With only two rounds remaining, the battle for the SX2 crown is shaping up to be a beauty, particularly if Davies can maintain his current form.
Deveson and Bohannon shine in support classes
There was plenty of action beyond the two premier classes, with Jack Deveson (Monster Energy WBR Yamaha) continuing his impressive run in SMX Next.
Fresh from sweeping all three races in New Zealand the previous weekend, Deveson once again proved the rider to beat in Geelong, taking the victory ahead of Jack Nunn and Riley Burgess.

The SX85 Futures category also delivered some entertaining racing, with Nico Verhoeven (KTM) eventually coming out on top following an intense battle with Blake Bohannon (Yamaha). Bohannon pushed hard but had to settle for second, while Husqvarna-mounted Maxi Harris completed the podium in third.
Perth next as championship battles heat up
The AUSX Supercross Championship now heads west for Round 4, with Perth’s HBF Park hosting the penultimate round on November 14.
While Geelong belonged to international visitors Ken Roczen and Cole Davies, neither rider will contest the remaining rounds, leaving the regular championship contenders to fight it out over the final two events.
Christian Craig heads to Perth with a healthy 32-point lead in SX1, while the SX2 title fight remains open as the championship heads towards its Newcastle finale.
