AMA Pro Motocross wrapped up at Budds Creek in Maryland with a milestone result for Honda HRC Progressive – brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence finishing first and second in the 450 championship standings.

Jett had already locked in the premier-class crown a week earlier, but he stamped his authority one last time with another overall win at Budds Creek, thanks to a dominant moto 1 victory and a runner-up in moto 2. Hunter fought through the pack for third in the opener, then grabbed the holeshot in race two and pulled clear to take the moto win. The 3–1 scores secured him second overall on the day – and more importantly, second in the series standings.

It marks the first time in AMA Pro Motocross history that two brothers have finished 1–2 in the final premier-class rankings. The achievement also delivers Honda its first premier-class sweep since 2014, with Jett and Hunter joining names like Ricky Johnson and David Bailey (1986), Jean-Michel Bayle and Jeff Stanton (1991), and Ricky Carmichael and Kevin Windham (2003) as Honda duos to finish 1–2 in the series.

Fast Facts from Budds Creek and the Season:
- Jett scored nine wins from 11 rounds, ending the season with 24 career AMA Pro Motocross overall victories.
- His Budds Creek moto 1 win was his ninth wire-to-wire victory of the year.
- Jett and Hunter split the Budds Creek holeshots, ending the season tied with seven apiece – a combined 14 holeshots out of 22, giving Honda an impressive 64% strike rate.
- Hunter was the only rider to finish every moto inside the top five this season, underlining his consistency.
- Jett’s 2025 title is his ninth AMA crown across Supercross and Motocross, making him the 14th rider to secure multiple premier-class motocross championships.
- Honda wrapped up Manufacturer of the Year, Team of the Year, and multiple individual crew honours, capping off a dominant season on and off the track.
With the AMA Pro Motocross season complete, attention now shifts to the SuperMotocross Playoffs, kicking off September 6 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
