Red Bull Straight Rhythm to Return in 2016

A revised format has been set for the events third year.

By Hayden Gregory

Unlike any other race in the world, the Red Bull Straight Rhythm will take over Fairplex in Pomona, CA on Saturday the 22nd October later this year. The unique format will see riders duel one on one across a dead straight rhythm section measuring 800m.

The race pits riders against each other based on pure speed, there is little room for error and it is without a doubt one of the most exhilarating events on the year’s schedule.

2016 will see practice; qualifying and main events all take place on the single day making for a much larger viewing spectacle for fans. The final for each class will also take place under lights for the first time.

James Stewart will be out to make it three from three in the premier class while brother Malcolm will look to defend his Lites title.
