The Active8 Yamaha rider had one of his best weekends of the AORC series in Monkerai, posting top results and showing great speed in the boggy conditions. During Saturday’s cross country event Ralston claimed third outright and second in the E3 class before backing that up on Sunday with fifth outright and second in class.

“I’m pretty happy with my weekend and the results we achieved,” Ralston said. “It was tough out there on both days as the rain last week meant a lot of the course was super wet with deep bog holes and water crossings everywhere so it was a tricky weekend of racing.

“The bike ran well all weekend and the team continues to put in a huge effort just for me while Josh and Tayla are still sidelined with injury.

“It was a good feeling to back batting for podium positions and I’m confident of a strong finish to the year at the A4DEe and the final weekend of the AORC,” Ralston said.

Team Manager AJ Roberts was also very pleased with Ralston’s effort.

“It was positive weekend for the team and a good result for everyone. We worked on a few things with both Beau and the bike since the last round and we all feel we made some gains in those areas.

“As a team it was a round that we needed to get us back on track and moving forward so we leave here with a bit of a spring in our step and looking forward to the final rounds in the coming weeks,” AJ finished.

With only one weekend left of racing Ralston sits fifth outright and third in the E3 class. The final two rounds will take place September 10-11 in Victoria.
