Few riders have dominated an Australian racing era like Jay Marmont did time and time again.
After a rough run of injuries, Jay joined the CDR Yamaha team in 2008 having never ridden a Yamaha and the wining started immediately and really didn’t stop for four years which saw him take the motocross nationals title every year as well as a supercross title in 2011.
Jay rode with heart and he was smart. He had the outright speed to win most of the time, but if it wasn’t there on the day he always thought his way around a track and eventually through an entire series. It was an epic task to take on Jay and CDR Yamaha team in that period. Small mistakes were punished in the long run as Jay put together podium after podium and win after win.
