The impressive result came from the addition of new bikes to the range last year. Sales of bikes in the Multistrada family were up 16% compared to the previous year.

The renewed Hypermotard family enjoyed growth of 15% and the Ducati XDiavel sales topped 5,200.

It’s second year on the international market, the Ducati Scrambler extended its success with over 15,500 bikes delivered worldwide.

ndrea Buzzoni, Global Sales and Marketing Director of Ducati says the growth demonstrates the strength of the Ducati range and brand in a global sales network.

“Results on the Italian market have been significant. Thanks to 20% growth in 2016 – and an excellent 84% over the two-year period 2015/2016 – Italy is again the second most important market, after the USA and ahead of Germany.”

Now that 2016 is history, Ducati present new models for the year ahead. Sticking to the motto “More than Red – Evolution never stops”, the 2017 range is packed with new developments. The range will feature more accessible, differentiated bikes with a passion for performance racing.

The 2017 Monster family is being refreshed and extended with the arrival of the 1200 and the all new 797 to join the new Multistrada 950 and Ducati SuperSport with the exclusive 1299 Superleggera.

Ducati Scrambler has launched two new bikes to extend the range, the Cafe Racer and the Desert Sled.
