JONTE REYNDERS TO LEAD SHERCO’S AORC ASSAULT

Reynders

Tasmanian Jonte Reynders is set to lead the Motul Pirelli Sherco Team’s 2020 Australian Off-Road Championship assault.

“I’m stoked to be on the Motul Pirelli Team,” Reynders said. “Derek Grundy goes the extra mile as Team manager to ensure I have the best bike ready for war each and every time I swing a leg over the bike. I honestly couldn’t be happier and I’ll be racing my hardest when it counts. I just missed out on the number-one plate in Tasmania this year and while my injury didn’t help, I know I can win it next time. I’m always learning new things and the Team has some test sessions planned that I am really looking forward to. I’m just really excited for next year.”

Reynders will be a vital part of the Motul Pirelli Sherco Team in 2020, not only concentrating on the Australian Off-Road Championship, but also the Hattah Desert Race, along with chasing the premiere title in the Tasmanian Enduro Riders Club Series.

“I’ll be racing a 300 SE Factory edition two-stroke which I’m really pumped about,” Reynders explained. “It’s a different bike to ride compared to my four-stroke from this year and it has some incredible positives in many racing situations. It’s a very versatile bike with loads of power and what I like most is how light it feels and how easy it is to ride. With the Team getting the bike perfect for each track, all I have to do is ride it well and that’s the fun part.”

“We’re very pleased to announce Jonte will be with us again in 2020,” said Motul Pirelli Sherco Team manager Derek Grundy. “Jonte is a rider with great talent and loads of potential. He’s great to work with because he can stare down adversity and get on with the job. Racing at the top level is a tough thing to do, mentally and physically and Jonte has the attributes to do it well. We’ve got a great bike beneath him and we’re working hard to create a tight Team program so he can reach his best possible performances.”

With Reynders locked in to lead the Motul Pirelli Sherco Team in the Australian Off-Road Championship, announcements are expected to be made in the coming weeks concerning further rider appointments.
