Cianciarulo has told Transworld Motocross of the decision to split with Baker ahead of his third professional season.

I just felt that it was time for a change,” said Cianciarulo. “But yes, it’s true. I am no longer working with Aldon Baker.”

The pair has worked together since Cianciarulo was racing 85s for Kawasaki Team green.  Adam has not yet lined up a new trainer for 2016 despite supercross being just a few days away.

Baker said he was surprised by the decision.

To be honest, it caught me by surprise. Obviously, I respect Adam’s decision to try something new and I wish him all the best in the future. We’ve been working together for many years now and his whole family is like family to me. My program is not an easy one and it takes some work to follow. It’s not for everyone. Adam is a great kid and I hope the best for him.”

Baker will now have a free spot in his training factory – The Baker’s Factory, which hosts top riders Ryan Dungey, Jason Anderson and Marvin Musquin.
