Beta Motorcycles Australia has confirmed the arrival of the MY26 Beta RR Race range, landing locally in December 2025. Built as the competition-focused versions of Beta’s Enduro line-up, the Race models are designed to deliver maximum performance while staying true to the brand’s hallmark philosophy of RideAbility.

The latest update features engine overhauls, gearbox revisions, fresh mapping, and the usual trick race components carried across the range, all designed to give riders an edge in both racing and hardcore enduro conditions.

RR 250 RACE 2T – COMPLETE ENGINE REDESIGN

The 250 two-stroke Race model has undergone a ground-up engine redesign to broaden power and torque across the rev range.

  • Shares crankshaft and cylinder architecture with the 300 2T, but with revised stroke (72 → 69.9mm) and increased bore (66 → 67.4mm) to maintain 250cc capacity.
  • New transfer port geometry and dedicated piston for stronger delivery.
  • Redesigned cylinder head optimised for the new engine dimensions, while retaining the dual-spark system.

The dual spark plug setup (fitted to both the 250 2T and 300 2T) improves combustion efficiency, offering:

  • More stable fuelling and cleaner throttle response at all revs.
  • Extended torque and usable power.
  • Built-in redundancy – if one plug fouls, the engine will keep running, albeit less efficiently, so riders can finish a race or ride.

RR 250 & 300 RACE 2T – STRONGER AND SMOOTHER

Both the 250 and 300 Race 2T benefit from key updates to drivability and durability:

  • Gearbox revision: The second gear has been significantly lengthened, resulting in smoother shifts into third for improved comfort and stability.
  • Larger, stronger main bearings for added reliability under sustained race use.

RR 125 RACE 2T – REINFORCED GEAR SYSTEM

To match the rev-happy nature of the smallest-capacity Race model, the 125 Race 2T features a new reinforced gear system. This stronger and more precise setup delivers faster shifts, improved durability, and ensures the motor can be ridden hard at any speed. The upgrade also carries across to the 200 Race 2T.

RR 200 RACE 2T – TRANSMISSION REFINEMENT

The 200 Race 2T also receives an additional gearbox/transmission update. Internal rotation ratios between components have been revised to better distribute load, strengthening the system without altering throttle feel, gear spacing, or riding dynamics. The result: greater structural reliability during prolonged racing or extreme use.

RR RACE 4T RANGE – REFINED POWER DELIVERY

All four-stroke Race models receive new ECU mapping for MY26, providing smoother, more controllable power delivery across the rev range. This translates to improved rider confidence and performance on technical and demanding terrain.

PREMIUM RACE COMPONENTS – STANDARD ON ALL MODELS

Every Beta Race model continues to roll out with a serious set of high-end racing parts:

  • KYB suspension: 48mm AOS closed-cartridge fork and C46 RCU monoshock, fully adjustable for compression and rebound.
  • Quick-release front axle with red anodised lever for faster tyre changes.
  • Reinforced handguards for durability.
  • Anodised race footpegs with steel pins and a narrower platform for grip and control.
  • ZF sprocket with aluminium core and steel teeth – the balance between light weight and strength.
  • Dedicated race seat with non-slip cover and built-in document pocket.
  • Race graphics and anodised red details across the line-up.

On all two-strokes, the automatic oil mixer is removed (available separately via Beta Factory Parts) to reduce weight, reinforcing the race-first approach.
