Honda Australia has unveiled its 2026 CRF1100L Africa Twin range, bringing refreshed styling and new colour options to one of the most respected names in the adventure motorcycle world.
The proven mechanical package remains unchanged for 2026, and that’s no bad thing. We recently spent time riding a pair of Africa Twins from Alice Springs to Melbourne via the Flinders Ranges, and it only reinforced why these bikes have earned such a loyal following. Comfortable over huge distances, confidence-inspiring on dirt, and equally happy chewing up highway kilometres, the Africa Twin feels purpose-built for the vast, wide-open landscapes Australia has to offer.
The 2026 range consists of four models: the Africa Twin, Africa Twin ES, Africa Twin ES DCT, and the range-topping Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT, giving riders the choice of traditional manual transmission or Honda’s highly regarded Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Powering every model is Honda’s proven 1,084cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, featuring Throttle by Wire with four preset riding modes—Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off-Road—plus a fully customisable User mode. Riders also benefit from selectable ABS, seven-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), cruise control, an adjustable rally-style windscreen, tool-free seat height adjustment, and smartphone connectivity through a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
The standard Africa Twin, priced from $22,999 RRP, remains the most dirt-focused model in the range. It features an 18.8-litre fuel tank, fully adjustable Showa suspension and a 21-inch front/18-inch rear wheel combination, delivering the off-road capability that has made the model famous.
The Africa Twin ES DCT, priced from $27,499 RRP, combines the electronic suspension package with Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission. Riders can switch between automatic and manual gear selection, while the dedicated G Switch sharpens off-road performance by reducing clutch slip during gear changes on loose terrain.
For riders chasing serious touring capability, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT starts at $29,899 RRP. It features a larger 24.8-litre fuel tank, a lower seat height, a 19-inch front wheel and revised suspension settings, making it better suited to long-distance adventure touring while still retaining impressive off-road ability.
Honda has also refreshed the styling for 2026 with new graphics inspired by the brand’s rich rally racing heritage. Colour options include:

- Africa Twin ES DCT – Grand Prix Red
- Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT – Iridium Gray Metallic
