Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki will roll out a special one-off black and gold livery at Round 1 of the 2026 Australian ProMX Championship, celebrating 100 years of Penrite Oil.
Set to debut at Wonthaggi Motocross Track on March 21–22, the team’s Kawasaki race bikes will ditch their usual colours in favour of a blacked-out base with gold detailing – a nod to Penrite’s century-long history in motorsport.
The one-off design marks a major milestone for the Aussie oil brand, which has been a long-time supporter across multiple racing disciplines. For the Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki squad, it’s a chance to recognise that legacy while kicking off a new ProMX season in style.

Wonthaggi is always a big one on the calendar, and with strong crowds expected for the opener, the black and gold machines should stand out as the gates drop on the 2026 season.
Team owner Tyson Cherry said the team is ready to get the year underway.
“We’re excited to go racing this weekend with some new team riders and new staff joining the crew. Everyone has been putting in a huge amount of work behind the scenes and the whole team is pumped to finally hit the track.
It makes this weekend even more special running the black and gold colours for Penrite Oil. Celebrating 100 years is an incredible milestone and we’re proud to represent a brand with such a strong legacy in motorsport.
A massive thanks to Penrite for the continued support. We’re ready to give it everything we’ve got and make it a weekend to remember. Let’s go racing.”
The team will run the commemorative livery across the full Wonthaggi round with pilots Dean Ferris and Brad West, with fans getting their first look trackside as the 2026 ProMX Championship fires into life.
