Australia’s Mitch Evans has arrived on the World Motocross circuit with a bang! The rider from Cairns charged to the MX2 podium is first outing for the 114 Motorsports outfit.

After finishing sixth in the qualifying race, Evans positioned himself for a solid overall position finishing fifth in the opening moto. An impressive third in moto two landed Evans in third position overall.

 

“I couldn’t be any happier, I didn’t really know what to expect being my first GP. I enjoyed every moment of it, it was awesome being here, the fans were awesome so I really enjoyed it. I knew the work that we put in during the off season and the preseason races that we had if I got good starts I could run with these boys.” Mitch Evans.

MXGP now heads to Matterley Basin in England for the second round of the World Motocross Championship.
