Honda Australia has revealed its 2027 CRF motocross line-up, headlined by the most significant update to the CRF450R platform in more than a decade.
The new-generation CRF450R arrives with a lighter and more powerful engine, along with major chassis and suspension revisions developed through Honda’s HRC racing programs. According to Honda, the changes are aimed at improving power delivery, stability and overall rideability across a wider range of track conditions.

The updates aren’t limited to the standard CRF450R; the revised package also carries over to the CRF450RWE (Works Edition) and the off-road-focused CRF450RX models.
Honda has also announced updates for its CRF250 range. While not as extensive as the 450 overhaul, the CRF250R, CRF250RWE and CRF250RX receive targeted suspension refinements designed to improve rider feel and consistency while retaining the performance characteristics the platform is known for.

Honda says development of the new models was heavily influenced by feedback and data gathered from its HRC factory racing programs competing at the highest levels of the sport.
“The biggest overhaul of the CRF450 in a decade highlights Honda’s ongoing commitment to off-road performance,” said Honda Australia General Manager – Powersports and Products, Chris Schultz.
Expressions of interest for the 2027 Honda CRF450R and CRF450RWE are expected to open during the third quarter of 2026, with Australian arrivals scheduled for the fourth quarter.
More detailed technical specifications and model information are expected closer to launch.
