Beta has stepped up its motocross program for 2026 with the launch of the updated RX range, including two brand-new two-stroke models and a refined RX 450 four-stroke. It’s a clear signal that the Italian brand is investing deeper into motocross, offering more options for riders across a range of skill levels.

All-New 2-Strokes: RX 350 2T & RX 250 2T

Leading the update is the introduction of the RX 350 2T, which replaces the outgoing RX 300. This is a first for motocross – a 350cc two-stroke production bike designed to offer a strong, smooth power curve more akin to a four-stroke, while still keeping the lighter weight and simplicity of a 2T engine.

The RX 350 features a dual-spark head, a new power valve system, and revised piston and crankshaft configurations aimed at delivering torque across the rev range. Final gearing sits at 13/47, and the focus here is on manageability and control without giving up performance.

Joining it is the new RX 250 2T, built with a completely new engine and aimed at riders who want something nimble, responsive, and built to rev. Unlike the 350, the 250 uses a more traditional single-spark setup and shorter 13/50 gearing. The RX 250 is designed to compete with 250cc four-strokes in terms of speed and handling, with less weight and a sharper feel.

While both models share some common parts — including a five-speed gearbox — their internals and character are purpose-built for each engine size. That includes different crankcases, cylinders, pistons, and power valve springs. Each also gets a model-specific exhaust system and silencer, tuned to bring out the best of their respective engine traits.

RX 450 4T – More Refinement, More Power

The RX 450 4T returns with several updates aimed at improving power delivery, rideability, and overall engine performance. A new cylinder head, updated intake manifold, and a reshaped piston (with a low-friction coating) combine to provide a broader and more usable power curve.

The changes were developed using flow bench and CFD testing, with the new intake design helping to improve air movement and combustion. A new counter-balancer has also been added to reduce vibration and rider fatigue. Engine mapping has been updated, and the RX 450 continues to offer four throttle pulleys, allowing riders to adjust the feel of the throttle to suit different conditions or preferences.

There’s also a new HGS exhaust system, co-developed with the brand to improve performance and flow.

Shared Platform Updates

All models in the 2026 RX lineup — 2T and 4T — benefit from a range of chassis and component upgrades, including:

  • New graphics and a clean, modern race look
  • Strengthened radiators, built to handle hard hits without deforming
  • Reinforced frame with a cast-in steering head brace for added stiffness
  • Lightweight aluminium subframe, still with tool-free air filter access
  • Kayaba suspension, with 48mm forks and a 50mm shock tuned for motocross
  • Nissin brakes with Galfer wave discs (260mm front / 240mm rear)
  • Xtrig Flexfit handlebar mounts for improved comfort
  • Electric start with a lithium battery — lighter and faster to fire
  • Non O-ring chain for reduced drag
  • Two engine maps on all bikes (Wet/Dry), with the RX 450 4T also offering four-level traction control

Rideability Still a Core Focus

Beta continues to focus on what it calls RideAbility – designing bikes that are capable on the track but not so aggressive they wear you out after a few laps. Whether racing or riding for fun, the new RX range is built to be approachable and enjoyable without sacrificing performance.

The RX 350 in particular stands out as a different kind of offering in the 2-stroke space — torquey, stable, and less frantic than traditional mid-sized two-strokes. Meanwhile, the RX 250 keeps the classic, high-revving 2T experience alive, with modern tech under the seat. And the RX 450 is now closer to a factory-spec machine than ever before, with more usable power and better overall balance.
