Sherco Australia delivered an unforgettable performance at the 15th annual Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro, held in northwest Melbourne. Recognised as Australia’s toughest one-day hard enduro, this year’s event turned into a mud-soaked marathon after torrential rain swept through the region, transforming the normally dry, rocky terrain into a slick and brutal test of endurance.
It marked a special homecoming for Sherco’s Will Riordon, returning from an impressive international season that included second place in the US Hard Enduro Premier Championship and a top-10 finish at Austria’s Erzberg Rodeo — achievements that firmly established him among the sport’s elite.
The 2025 Wildwood Rock event attracted 134 senior competitors, all facing conditions that pushed both bikes and riders to their limits. In the Gold Class prologue, Riordon set the pace early, recording the fastest lap ahead of newly crowned Australian Hard Enduro Champion Wade Ibrahim.
When racing got underway, Riordon and Ibrahim quickly broke clear of the field, engaging in a fierce head-to-head battle as the course deteriorated lap by lap. The heavy rain extended lap times well beyond the usual 30 minutes, with many riders struggling just to complete a single circuit. By race end, Riordon and Ibrahim were the only two to finish three full laps — an impressive feat in what many are calling one of the toughest Wildwood events to date.
It was a proud result for Sherco Australia, with Riordon taking the overall victory and teammate David MacDonald finishing strongly inside the top five. The result capped off a memorable 15th anniversary edition of the iconic event — one that will be remembered for its extreme weather, world-class competition, and an Australian talent proving his world-beating form on home soil.
