Sherco continue to impress the Australian market with their epic enduro machines. The latest to hit Australia, the 2018 Factory models.
The 2018 rendition of the Sherco Factory models has reached a new level with a long list of upgrades. The highly-anticipated annual release of the up-spec enduro models comes with a number of high-end additions while the 250 SE and 300 SE two-stroke models have received significant engine upgrades that will propel them to a new level of two-stroke performance.
The 300 SEF and 450 SEF four-stoke along with the 250 SE and 300 SE two-stoke versions of the 2018 Sherco Factory models comes equipped with new Neken triple clamps, diamante Sella Dalla Valle gripper seat cover, new Galfer front brake disc, new neon yellow handlebar pad, dual material rear sprocket, new regulator for the battery charging system, ultra-strong in-mould Factory graphics kit, thermo fan and solid rear brake disc.
Keeping in line with the up-spec suspension package is the 48mm WP Xplor fork with pre-load adjuster and WP shock. The look of the 2018 Facotry model is finished off with blue anodized rims.
“The release of the Factory models is always an exciting time at Sherco,” said Sherco Australia’s Stephen Tuff. “Sherco enduro motorcycles are high-quality, hand-built pure off-road machines and the Factory versions always come out at another level again. The 2018 models offer the highest specifications yet.”
The 300 SEF and 450 SEF four-stokes come equipped with full Akrapovic exhausts systems and Factory mapping to enhance performance and offer further weight savings.
“The Akrapovic exhaust systems not only perform well they look incredible,” Tuff continued. “Akrapovic is synonymous with world-class performance and the systems on our Factory models is the exact same exhaust used by 2016 Enduro World Champion Matthew Phillips.”
The 250 SE and 300 SE two-stroke Factory models come with a new engine cylinder, new combustion chamber, new power-valve, new water temperature sensor, new electrical harness, new ignition coil and new FMF exhaust system along with the new key-less start system that brings them in line with the key-less starting system of the four-stroke models.
“The two-stroke engine upgrades and the key-less start will make the Sherco two-stroke Factory models top of the two-stroke enduro tree,” Tuff explained. “The new cylinder has new porting to improve traction and control and the new power-valve and combustion chamber combine to increase throttle response. Collectively what we’ve ended up with is an engine that is more responsive, stronger and smoother. The key-less start system does way with the ignition on-off switch so there’s no chance of leaving it on. This simplifies the starting process and eliminates the chance of a flat battery. There’s just so much to like about the new Sherco Factory two-stroke.”
The 2018 Sherco Factory models will be available from all authorized Sherco Australia dealers the first week of April.
