With Kyron Bacon resting up after successful surgery to repair a broken femur, the ShopYamaha Off Road team has drafted in Cooper Sheidow to take his place in the E1 division.

Starting this weekend at the Queensland Moto Park round of the AORC, Sheidow will be onboard the ShopYamaha E1 machine and stay with the team until Bacon is back in action, so will likely include the A4DE in Western Australia as part of the deal.

South Australian based Sheidow moved over to Yamaha via a bLU cRU Support deal and placed third in the E1 class at the opening rounds of this year’s AORC and now will be further elevated within the Yamaha chain while Bacon is on the sidelines. Sheidow has come up to the team base in Queensland to get himself set up with the squad for this weekend and is pleased with how things are progressing.

“When AJ called and offered me the chance to ride on the team for the events that Kyron will miss, I jumped at it,” Shadow said. “They are big shoes to fill as Kyron has been the dominant rider in AORC for the past 12 months but I hope that with the extra support, I can take my riding and results to the next level and do a great job representing the team and Yamaha.

“I haven’t made too many changes to the bike Kyron races, just a couple of personal things and Im ready to go. The team has been awesome in getting me settled and I look forward to getting out there this weekend and giving it my all.”
