Ducati’s all-new Desmo450 MX will make its first Australian public appearance at the legendary Manjimup 15,000 motocross event on Sunday, 1 June 2025.
This marks a major milestone for the Italian brand, with the Desmo450 MX being the first-ever motocross model developed by Ducati. The bike will be showcased at Cosy Creek, just outside Manjimup in Western Australia—around 300km south of Perth—offering Aussie fans their first up-close look at the groundbreaking machine.

A specially airfreighted unit will be presented on-site by Ducati Perth, giving race fans an exclusive preview of the brand’s bold leap into motocross. The Desmo450 MX is not just a concept—it’s a race-bred production model and is already available to order through selected Ducati dealerships.
Weighing in with a lightweight 11-piece aluminium perimeter frame—tipping the scales at under nine kilograms—the Desmo450 MX combines signature Ducati styling with high-end performance. Developed in collaboration with Ducati Corse, the bike brings Desmodromic valve timing to the dirt, backed by a cutting-edge electronics suite. Riders can access features like a dedicated traction control system and switchable riding modes, all adjustable via the optional Ducati X-Link app.

The Manjimup 15,000 has long been regarded as one of the crown jewels of Aussie motocross. Known for its 2.1km Cosy Creek circuit—packed with big jumps, fast straights, and loamy technical sections—the event draws the best domestic talent alongside international contenders. It’s a fitting backdrop for Ducati’s off-road debut.
Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati Australia and New Zealand, says the occasion is a landmark for the brand:
“The arrival of the Desmo450 MX marks a significant new chapter for Ducati in Australia. Witnessing the bike firsthand, one can immediately appreciate the passion and race-bred philosophy behind its development. Debuting the Desmo450 MX at an event as iconic as the Manjimup 15,000 is a fitting tribute to both the motorcycle and the motocross community. We are proud to share this moment with Australian fans.”
The Ducati Desmo450 MX is priced at $16,300 AUD, with deliveries expected to begin in the second half of 2025. More info at www.ducati.com.au
