Leatt’s 2026 moto gear range is about to drop — and it’s not just a visual refresh. From top-tier race-fit cuts to major material upgrades, the latest lineup is a significant step forward in comfort, function and durability. We caught up with two of Australia’s top off-road racers, Daniel Milner and Korey McMahon, after they put the new 5.5 series gear through the wringer during the recent Hattah desert race.

Milner’s KTM DM31 Racing Team had exclusive early access to the range, and he didn’t hold back on praise:
“Honestly, it’s unlike anything I’ve worn before. Whatever new fabric they’re using — it feels like you’re not even wearing gear, it’s that comfy,” Milner said.
“And the grip on the inside of the knees? Unreal. We were going to run grip tape on Sunday, but after the prologue in the new gear, we didn’t need it.”
That redesigned I.K.S. (Internal Knee System) clearly delivers, offering extra traction without sacrificing feel. Milner said the pant cut nailed the balance of mobility and race fit, noting:
“The pant cut is spot on too — not too tight around the knee — and the fit overall is perfect. I like the stretch in it.”

The jersey also gets major tech updates, including 238 laser-cut vents, lightweight seam taping and eco-certified materials. For riders running long days in the heat or bush, it’s a welcome evolution.
“The jersey fits snug, so it doesn’t flap around or catch on branches,” Milner added. “And I’m not just saying this because Leatt’s a sponsor — I genuinely rate the gear. It keeps getting better.”
2025 Hattah champ Korey McMahon backed it up, especially impressed by how tough the gear was despite its lightweight feel:
“It was impressive — super comfy and great for gripping the bike,” he said. “The pants and jersey are lighter and thinner, which can sometimes mean easier to rip — but I hit a couple of trees and checked my shoulder, and the jersey was still intact. And I’m like, wow, this stuff’s pretty good.”

McMahon also praised how the early release gear made the team feel race-ready and professional, adding:
“It’s honestly faultless gear. And to be able to wear it before most people have even see it — that was a first for me.”
