KTM has officially unveiled its 2026 Enduro range, rolling out a refined and reworked selection of race-bred machines. With updates across naming, suspension, styling and componentry, the latest models reflect KTM’s ongoing push to stay ahead in competitive off-road racing — and offer more for riders at every level.

Naming Changes and Model Line-Up

There’s a notable shift in naming for 2026, especially for the two-stroke models. The KTM 125 EXC and 250 EXC are now labelled XC-W — a return to the “cross-country wide-ratio” badge used in other markets, signalling their race focus for the New Zealand market. The KTM 300 EXC retains its name and stands as the only EURO5+ compliant 2-stroke, giving it broader registration potential and versatility.

Here’s how the 2026 Enduro line-up looks:

Engineered for Enduro

The core of KTM’s Enduro platform remains familiar but continues to benefit from refinement. Compact, lightweight and reliable engines — with TBI (Throttle Body Injection) for two-strokes and advanced EFI on four-strokes — deliver broad, usable power for a wide range of terrain.

Underneath, the hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded frames are paired with aluminium subframes and swingarms, designed to offer the right mix of flex and stability. Premium components remain part of the package: forged triple clamps, Neken handlebars, Brembo brakes, Keihin throttle bodies, and ODI lock-on grips, all included as standard. There’s also KTM’s Offroad Control Unit, GIANT alloy rims, in-mould plastics, and a new LED headlight.

Suspension Updates

The WP XACT 48 mm Closed Cartridge fork receives some of the most significant changes this year. New damping settings, lighter and shorter springs, and an updated pressure reservoir design help reduce weight and sharpen response. A redesigned hydro stop also helps absorb bigger hits more effectively — all while shaving 200g from the front end.

Out back, the WP XPLOR PDS shock remains maintenance-friendly with no external linkage, but benefits from revised internals and improved tuning to boost traction and stability in all conditions.

Cooling, Durability and Practical Touches

Updates aren’t just limited to performance. KTM has added a new protective cap to the CPC fuel connector, improving sealing against dust and water. The radiator cap now uses a standard thread for easier access, while radiator fans come standard on all EXC-F models and the 300 EXC — a welcome touch for tight, technical riding or summer heat.

Graphics and Tyres

Visually, the 2026 range gets a sharp update. A brighter orange dominates the plastics, with flashes of red on the fork guards and reshaped tank shrouds that also help redirect airflow. A new high-grip seat cover in black ties in with textured frame protectors and bar pads.

Maxxis has also delivered a softer compound for the rear MaxxEnduro tyres — offering improved traction, particularly in loose or wet terrain.
