2026 Beta XTrainer: If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It

The Beta Xtrainer is one of the most enjoyable, lightweight enduro bikes we've ridden!

In a world where year-on-year updates are often made just for the sake of marketing, Beta has taken a different approach with its 2026 XTrainer range—and we’re here for it. With the philosophy of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, the MY26 XTrainer lineup sticks closely to the formula that has made it one of the most popular and approachable enduro bikes globally—especially for riders who value ease, rideability, and confidence over hard-edged competition.

Fresh Looks, Familiar Feel

The 2026 models continue to embrace the Total Grey aesthetic introduced in recent years, but now feature updated plastics with vibrant new graphics and white trim, giving the bikes a fresher, more modern edge without straying from the minimalist XTrainer identity. A new LED taillight and larger, easier-to-read speedo round out the practical upgrades for this model year, with the latter now more robust and clearer to read in all conditions.

New Engine for the 250 2T

While the 300cc XTrainer remains unchanged, the 250 2T engine receives a full internal refresh, borrowing heavily from the RR 250 XPRO platform. This means:

  • A new short-stroke crankshaft (matching the 300cc unit),
  • Larger bore,
  • Updated cylinder with refined transfer ports,
  • New combustion chamber and crankcase with bigger, stronger main bearings.

All of this adds up to improved torque, throttle response, and centralised mass, delivering better handling without taking away the mellow, tractable personality the 250 is known for.

A Bike That Knows Its Place

The XTrainer isn’t trying to be a race replica. It’s built for riders who want a bike that’s:

  • Less tiring to ride,
  • Lower to the ground (20mm lower than RR XPRO models),
  • Lighter (99kg dry),
  • Easier to manage in tight, technical terrain, thanks to its slim midsection, trials-inspired geometry, and smooth delivery.

Whether you’re new to enduro, coming from trail riding, or a seasoned hard enduro rider who wants a machine that won’t fight back, the XTrainer just works.
