YAMAHA BLU CRU 2-STROKE NATIONALS HEADS TO TRARALGON

2 Stroke Nationals

A return to Traralgon will mark the first round of the Yamaha bLU cRE 2-stroke Nationals this weekend. A national motocross event hasn’t visited the location since 1998.

This new Amateur National series will showcase up and coming riders and see the return of old stars including Danny Ham, who raced at the last national motocross in Traralgon.

The first round of the Amateur Nationals will also play host to the World Junior Cup qualifiers, with a traveling road show of over 500 riders and crew to be flooding the Traralgon South circuit, and for the spectators and followers, an event not to be missed.

Series Director Kevin Williams expressed his gratitude to the Latrobe City Council and the Traralgon Motorcycle Club.

“It’s a great feeling to be heading back to the Latrobe Valley where 23 years ago we started our event management business. The Latrobe City Council have played a huge part in helping this significant sporting event come together smoothly and, we are also excited to be working with a great local club in the Traralgon Motocycle Club. Their support and assistance in delivering this event has been tremendous.” said Williams.

Latrobe City Council Mayor, Cr Graeme Middlemiss is thrilled to see the event return to Latrobe City Council after a 20 year absence.
“The National Motocross circuit is an important part of the motorsport landscape and we are excited to see it back.
The work of the club’s volunteers and along with organisers showcases just how supportive of major events our community is.
I encourage everyone to come down and witness some of the best amateur riders in the country here in our own backyard.”
