Yamaha Claim Four of Six A4DE National Titles

Yamaha riders Stefan Merriman, Matt Phillips, Matt Dumigan and Jessica Gardiner were awarded the Australian enduro championship crowns for their respective classes at last night’s award presentation for the 2011 Yamaha Yamalube Cycra GYTR Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE), held near Mackay (QLD).

The Ballard’s Yamaha Team was also victorious in the Trade Team category, taking out the top gong ahead of Motorex KTM and Force Honda.

The top finishing Yamaha rider in the 2011 A4DE was YZ450F pilot, Chris Hollis.

Hollis, 27, from Port Macquarie in NSW, claimed second in the hotly contested Championship E2 Class and in the Outright.

I’m really happy with my result,” Hollis said. “Everything went well. My Ballard’s Yamaha YZ450F was fantastic, I had no problems with it through the whole event.

“I was trying really hard and I made a few mistakes, had a couple crashes and [Toby Price] inched away from me bit by bit.
