Lying 175 kilometres south of Perth, Western Australia’s third-largest city will play host to competitors from all over the country as they arrive in their droves to take part in the week-long annual event which begins this Saturday.

Under its tenure as official major sponsor which will continue until at least 2018, KTM Australia has poured a mountain of effort and energy into the development of the Championships, and in the brand’s home state, competitors can again expect KTM Australia to spoil the kids.

The Austrian brand has again thrown its weight behind a number of features and measures aimed at adding some value to the event for every competitor, and in particular those mounted on something orange.

“A level of involvement like KTM has shown in the last couple of years is quite unique,” said KTM’s National Marketing Manager Greg Chambers. “We do it for our customers because we believe they deserve that support at nationals to ensure they give themselves the best chance of a strong finish.

“However, competitors of every brand have been sent the KTM Event Preparation Guide upon entry, which has specific advice from Motocross Team Manager Rob Twyerould on bike setup, and from KTM race team physiologist Tim Cole on physical preparation.”

As the next generation of Aussie racing stars is showcased, KTM will have a massive supporting presence on the ground, starting with the KTM Technical Service which will be there as a support centre for KTM owners requiring setup advice and backup for any mechanical emergencies.
Racing Team Technicians Kevin Doyle and Mick Carusi will be in attendance, ready to share their vast knowledge and experience with KTM owners.

The KTM Spare Parts Service will be there with the backing of Bunbury KTM, carrying general consumables like brakes, sprockets and chains, as well as breakables. It’s even possible to order certain major parts if required.

In addition, KTM’s Spare parts interpreter Roland Ward will offer a daily KTM random trivia question, with some valuable KTM prizes including bike stands, fuel drums, gear bags and toolkits.

“KTM Australia is proud to be involved with the Australian Junior Motocross Championships,” says Chambers, “junior racing is a huge part of our business, since we have models from 50cc and we can support kids all the way through their progression to seniors.”

KTM looks forward to some more great results from orange riders, not just from the KTM Factory Junior Team of Jett Lawrence, Caleb Grothues, Mason Semmens, Rhys Budd and Wade Kirkland.

A bunch of other top KTM kids are also performing well at present, including the likes of WA’s top 85 rider Regan Duffy and Cooper Pozniak, who won’t surprise many if they make it onto the podium.
At the end of its initial three-year contract as major sponsor to the Australian Junior Motocross Championships, KTM Australia has decided to extend its involvement to continue through to 2018.
