The KTM rider will enter the event for the fourth time and will be looking to clinch three straight titles against the likes of team mates Jesse Dobson and Caleb Ward. Stiff opposition will also be presented by local heavyweights Dean Ferris and Todd Waters.

“It’s a fun race and a little bit more laid back for me, we love seeing all of the fans – they really love to watch good racing.” Said Gibbs.

It will be a little bit harder this year with a few more faster guys, but I will try my best to make it three in-a-row.”

“It’s exciting riding such an amazing track – I’ve watched videos of the Motocross of Nations there and walked through the clubrooms – it is so cool to be able to ride the track.”

Leading the international contingency will be British rider Jamie Law, Belgium’s Michael Velkeneers and American star Nicholas Schmidt.

The 2016 event will take place over the June long weekend with promoter Willie Thompson expecting a bumper crowd.

“Fans can expect non-stop action, great racing and entertainment over the whole weekend.” He said.

“Not only will we have great racing out on the track, we also offer great food vendors, clothing stalls, helicopter rides and camping for the duration of the weekend.”

“We have six world-class riders confirmed and over 520 entries with three weeks remaining – it’s going to be a great event.”
