Courtney Duncan was the breakout star in the early stages of the WMX championship before a nasty crash in Germany left her with a broken ankle. The JCR Altherm Yamaha rider returned for her first start in Switzerland and it looked like she never left. Duncan finished 1-2 in claiming the overall ahead of Livia Lancelot and Nancy Van de Ven.

“It was tough, the battles were sick this weekend. Honestly I’m not satisfied, but it’s a win, but I’ll take it for my first race back,” Duncan said.

Only one round of the FIM Women’s Motocross Championship remains with Lancelot holding a 27 point lead over Van de Ven in overall standings. The finale will take place in Assen, Netherlands on August 27-28.
