DEAN FERRIS CRASHES OUT OF HIS RETURN TO MXGP

Australian Dean Ferris has suffered a rough and tumble return to the MXGP circuit. The three-time MX Nationals Champion finished 18th in his qualifying race, before finding speed towards the end of the first moto to finish 15th.

Disaster struck for Ferris at the start of the second moto. The #111 hitting the ground, fearing a knee injury.

“It was a tough weekend, but I got more comfortable in every session. I thought the last fifteen minutes of the race I found my groove and had some really good lap-times, so I was content with that. In moto two, I went down on the start and I have hurt my knee, so that will need to be assessed.”

Dean, who was filling in at Monster Energy Yamaha for the injured Romain Febvre, will  seek medical advice on his knee in the coming week to determine when he will return to the start gates.
