Damien Ashenhurst - Managing Editor

Damien has been a consistent figure in the dirt bike industry for many years and his experience, along with his dedication to capturing unique images, is sure to be an asset to DIRT ACTION. “This position is truly an honour. I have a long history with DIRT ACTION and to be guiding it through the next phase is a dream come true. We have a great team here with Matt Bernard, Shane Booth, Scott Bishop and Stephen Tuff and with that I believe the sky’s the limit.”

Scott Bishop - MX Editor

For 36 years our man about town has fooled the motorcycle industry into thinking he actually has something to offer. He moves in the highest circles and has the answer for every question, even before the question is asked. If you need to know about a Nite club from the 80's, 80's music or $5 hair cuts, Bishop is your man. His claims to fame include; being the first human on the planet to blow up a YZ250F, screaming like a girl in a rally car whilst travelling at 170km/hr, offering Jeremy McGrath a hot dog with sauce while he was on his way to the start line for a SX main event. Yep, those times will go down in history as some of the greatest of the 20th century.

Stephen Tuff - Victorian Editor

When not in the San Reno Hotel, or teasing sharks at Phillip Island, Tuffy can often be seen driving around in a Vito Van, unused dirt bike in the back, arm on the window, freezing his man-boobs off trying to impress members of the opposite sex. "Do you want to see my bike?" is his catch cry to female victims as he entices them into his web of smelly footy socks and old McDonalds wrappers that fill his van. But there is the odd occasion where work has to be done and the Trailrider boss knows exactly where the camera is and he isn't scared to use it. It comes in handy for any blackmail and any money-laundering operations he has set up. Let's not forget his skill on a dirtbike. He can make the possible seem impossible. The incredibly easy look ridiculously tough, Stephen makes a bad rider look good. He is good for the ego of the riding public in general and his contribution to the general public's state of mind can't be underestimated. And while his name maybe 'Tuff', he certainly isn't.

Matt Bernard - Staff Writer/Photographer

Berny is a key part of the DA team. He's responsible for most of the images you get to see from month to month. He and is trusty Kodak disposable camera are a regular at the track, trails and everything in between and every now and then the blokes snaps some cracker pics. When it comes to riding, the front wheel is hardly ever on the ground. We've never seen someone do so many bloody slow-wheelies! It's like a freakin Stephen Gall school every time he rides! Like the Boss, Berny loves to race and actually got his start with DIRT ACTION through racing one of their project bikes earlier in life. At 18 years of age, he's still got a long career ahead of him.. who knows one day he might invest in the disposable Kodak with a flash!

Shane Booth - Online Editor

Shane Booth is a well recognised name in the motocross industry, and for good reason. He has raced at a professional level in Australia for over 10 years competed overseas, and probably showed plenty of you guys out there how to ride through his Y-AIM coaching clinics. Boothy is a welcome inclusion to the DA team with his countless years of experience in the industry being pumped into dirtaction.com.au and the magazine, he will be giving us the inside line when news hits the press. Nobody can match Boothy in a slow wheelie contest either - go on try!
